Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Last updated 1 November 2026

This policy explains how Kausaly collects, uses and shares consumer health data, as required by Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar laws in Nevada, Connecticut and other US states. It adds to our Privacy Policy, which applies to everyone.

What consumer health data we collect

Why we collect it

To provide Kausaly: to show your logs and charts, find patterns in your own data, track your goals, and, only if you choose, to back up what you log and to understand how the app is used so we can improve it.

Where it comes from

Directly from you, and from Apple Health on your device if you give permission.

Your consent

Health data you log stays on your iPhone. It only reaches our servers if you give your consent, for example by switching on backup or usage data, and you can withdraw that consent at any time in the app.

Who we share it with

We do not sell consumer health data and do not share it with third parties for their own purposes, including advertising. If you consent to backup or usage data, the data is processed for us by our service providers (processors) under contract: a hosting and storage provider, and an analytics provider (only with your consent). You can ask us for their names. Apple Health data is not shared with anyone.

Your rights

You can export and delete your data directly in the app (Settings → Export my data, Settings → Delete my data), or email hello@kausaly.ai. We answer within 45 days and may need to confirm that the request comes from you. If we decline your request, you can appeal by emailing us with "Appeal" in the subject; if the appeal is denied, you can contact your state attorney general. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
